Makalu Basecamp Trekking
Makalu Base Camp Trekking is choice for those adventerous lover who want to explore most amazing and unseen scenery of eastern Himalayas. Utterly marvelous, still very untouched and an irregular trekking area of Makalu region is very close to the Everest region. Because of Arun River, it is known as Arun Valley too. The Arun Valley is an unimaginable area and it is famous for both the culture and nature.This area is a naturalist's paradise and it is teeming with many precious plants, animalsand (such as wolves, lynx, fox and the elusive snow leopard) Mt. Makalu (8475m.) birds and is a significant part of the Himalayan environment and ecosystem.
People living in this remote place depend on cattle herds, farming and small - time trade. The number of population is 32000. Various castes and ethnic groups from this population, they are: Sherpa in the higher elevation, Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Newar, Brahmins, Chhetris and the others in the rest, The tour to those places have many attractions because of the cultural reasons too.
From Tumlingtar by walking north, up the Arun river,Sedwa and Num, crossing Shipton La (4127m) into upper Barun Khola valley for a close look at Makalu(8475 m) and chamlang (7290 m). the trek to Makalu base camp visits one of the most remote and unfrequented areas of Nepal . The Barun Valley is part of huge international proctected area under an agreement between China and Nepal. The Makalu Barun National Park was established in 1992 as nepal's eight National park.

DAY 1: Arrival, transfer to hotel.
DAY 2: Fly Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and trek to Khandbari. Overnight in camp.
DAY 3: Trek Khandbari to Fururu.
DAY 4: Trek Fururu to Num.
DAY 5: Trek Num to Sinduwa.
DAY 6: Trek Sinduwa to Tashigaon.
DAY 7: Trek Tashigaon to Kauma.
DAY 8: Trek Kauma to Mumbuk.
DAY 9: Trek Mumbuk to Neh Kharka.
DAY 10: Trek Neh Kharka to Serson.
DAY 11: Trek Serson to Makalu Base Camp.
DAY 12: Rest day in Makalu Base Camp Explore the Base Camp areas.
DAY 13: Base Camp to Neh Kharka.
DAY 14: Trek Neh Kharka to Mum buk.
DAY 15: Trek Mumbuk to Kauma.
DAY 16: Trek Kauma to Tashigaon.
DAY 17: Trek Tashigaon to Balung.
DAY 18: Trek Balung to Phukuwa.
DAY 19: Trek Phukuwa to Bumling.
DAY 20: Trek Bumling to Tunlingtar.
DAY 21: Fly Tumlingtar to Biratnagar and then to Kathmandu.
DAY 22: Kathmandu city sightseeing
DAY 23: Kathmandu free day, shoping and hanging around.
DAY 24: Depture, transfer to airport.
