Langtang-Gosaikunda Trekking

This is a very rewarding trek in a less frequented area starts from Kathmandu and finishes in the Kathmandu valley, being situated at a short distance from Kathmandu. Langtang Gosaikunda Trekking brings you to the Langtang Valley surrounded by Himalayan Peaks. Langtang Lirung-7240m and Ganesh Himal are the highest in this region. This trek leads you to the sacred Lakes of Gosainkunda from Dhunche, the district head-quarter of Rasuwa and you climb the Gosainkunda pass to descend into the Valley of Helambu.

It commences with an overland journey to Dhunche, the main trading post of the area. From here we spend four days hiking up through this beautiful alpine valley to Kyangjin, where we rest for a day for some exploration of the high mountains and glacial systems. The Track backs for three days before starting a journey to the sacred lakes of Gossainkund, a major pilgrimage sight for Hindus and Buddhists both. We cross the Laurebina pass (4600 mtrs), as well as Goisaikund and drop into the lush Helambu region having different cultural experiences eventually finishing the trek an hours drive from Kathmandu.
