Ladakh Indus Valley Trekking


At an average elevation of 3500 m is sand-witchIndus Valley Treked between the Zanskar Range on its South and the Ladakh Range on its North, This is the geographical backbone, and the historical heartland of Ladakh. All major sites connected with its dynastic history are here, starting with Leh, the capital city. The bulk of the population resides along the Indus. Its main attraction are the numerous Buddhist monasteries, quaint villages, fairs , festivals and bazars. Air and road communications converage at Leh.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi, flight to Leh.

Day 2: Tour of Leh city, including its Seventeenth century palace and Gompa.

Day 3: Tour of Shey, Tikse, and Hemis Gompas, the spiritual heart of the Indus Valley.

Day 4: Tour of Stok palace, home of the hereditary rulers of Ladakh, and Spitok gompa.

Day 5: Tour of Basgo, Alchi, and Likir gompas. Camp at Likir.

Day 6: Trek over Pobe La (3550 metres) to Yangthang.

Day 7: Trek to Rizong gompa and back to Yangthang.

Day 8: Trek over Sermanchan La (3750 metres) and Lago La (3750 metres) to Ang.

Day 9: Trek to Temisgam, then over Bongbong La (3630 metres) to Khaltse, then by jeep to Wanlah. Camp at Wanlah.

Day 10: Trek from Wanlah over Prinkiti La (3725 metres) to Lamayuru. Camp at Lamayuru.

Day 11: Return by jeep to Leh.

Day 12: Morning flight to Delhi, on arrival check in at Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Depart-Delhi, Transfer to airport for flight to onwards journey.

Cost Includes

  2. Twin sharing rooms in all hotels
  3. Bed & Breakfast in Delhi hotel and full board in Leh hotel.
  4. All trekking arrangements.
