Nepal Canyoning Association (NCA) is organising the International Canyon Rendezvous (ICR), Nepal - 2011.

The fact that it is going to be first time in Asia and in the Himalayan country Nepal has made us very enthusiastic and committed to make it a historic event.  Other plus points like coinciding with Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) - 2011, a national campaign of Nepal make the ICR more interesting and attractive for the international canyoneers. Moreover, the canyon sites for the rendezvous are in Marsyangdi valley  en route  the world famous trekking trail - Annapurna Himalayan Circuit, one of the best 12 walks in the world."  as  claimed by Modern Maturity, magazine.

Nepal having endowed with the great Himalayan mountains including the Mt. Everest, pristine nature, lively culture and friendly people is a paradise for trekkers and a magnet for mountain adventure lovers. These are the reasons why Nepal is termed as exotic and one of the best holiday destinations in the world by famous travel guide-book, Lonely Planet,  BBC Holiday, the Observer, UK etc. Canyoning/canyoneering  has  a tremendous potential in Nepal given the mountainous geo physical feature. There are numerous canyons of different grades, simply beautiful to the thrillingly challenging ones from the mid hills to the Himalayan mountains through east to west Nepal.

The rendezvous program will be supported by many partner organizations both national and international  like; Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal mountaineering Association and also Himalayan Canyon Team (HCT), France and Fédération Française de Spéléologie (FFS), France.  We would also like to invite and cooperate with other canyoning organizations from Europe and America. Therefore, the ICR - 2011, Nepal will be a historical event. The participant canyoneers and their companions  will have also chance to do other holiday activities like; trekking, mountaineering, rafting, cultural tour, jungle safari etc. of a life time experience if they wish to before or after the rendezvous. The NCA team will provide them assistance for such extra activities.
