Gyachung Kang 7952m Expedition


Gyachung Kang is onee of the highes peak at the Khumbu region. It is the highest peak lying betweem Mount Everest and Cho Oyu. It has twin snowy and rocky peak towers, separated by a narrow saddle, above the immediate surroundings. The approach is easy by Gokyo Lake, then by crossing from the Ngozumpa glacier.

Itinerary

Day 1     Arrival Kathmandu . Transfer to your hotel.
Day 2     Kathmandu . Briefing
Day 3     Kathmandu .
Day 4     Transfer to airport and fly to Lukla, 2800m and trek to Phakding, 2640m. Overnight in .
Day 5     Trek to Namche Bazaar, 3446m.
Day 6     Namche, rest for acclimatization
Day 7     Trek to Dole (4200m).
Day 8     Trek to Macchermo (4410m).
Day 9     Trek to Gokyo Lake (4750m).
Day 10     Gokyo Lake . Visit Gokyo Ri (5360m) for acclimatization.
Day 11     Trek to Ngozumba Tso, 4998m.
Day 12     Trek to Gyachung Kang Base Camp, 5350m.
Day 13-43     Climbing Period.
Day 44     Base Camp cleaning.
Day 45     Trek to Gokyo Lake .
Day 46     Trek to Dole.
Day 47     Trek to Namche.
Day 48     Trek to Lukla.
Day 49     Fly to Kathmandu .
Day 50     Kathmandu , free day.
Day 51     Departure from Kathmandu .
